This vintage circle brooch has a romantic Medieval Revival appeal. An openwork garland of glittering leaves sits atop a ring of 14k gold. Refined engraving enhances the scalloped foliate design, reminiscent of an illuminated manuscript. Five Montana sapphires and five creamy pearls alternate around the airy circlet; the bright little sapphires have the fresh cornflower blue color Montana sapphires are prized for. The piece clasps with a rollover security pin. This brooch is delicate and lightweight, perfect for wear on a scarf or collar. Circa 1930.
